Your body is a magnificent piece of machinery fearful and wonderfully made. You are so fitly joined together that you can neglect your body for years and can still function at a fairly high level in your daily activities. If you grew up like me and many others like me, you ate and drank pretty much what you desired with no apparent effects on your body. So from birth you adapted to a lifestyle that was damaging your body and you had no clue about it. As I stated earlier you are fearfully and wonderfully made, so what that means is that your body can take a great deal of abuse and not realize it for years until you get a sign from your body.

Your body is very strong, but at some point it's going to break down. And it's up to you to keep your body running at it's maximum levels. Asthma, Is It a Disease or a Correction?

Asthma is a very devastating and debilitating condition. But is it a disease or correction? What I mean by correction is if you change what you are doing or eating it will fix the problem. The medical world in my opinion tries to label every discomfort we have as a disease. And they do so for a reason. When ever a doctor names a new disease, the food and drug administration gives the drug companies the green light to create a drug to treat your symptoms and not cure your so called disease. The down fall to taking these drugs as opposed to changing your life style is this.
1. the drug that you take are not designed to cure your problems, they are designed to treat symptoms. The drug companies make billions upon billions of dollars each year because they don't cure they treat. If they cure they lose tons of money, so they want to keep you sick.
2. Taking these drugs hurts your quality of life. Just stop and read the side effects on the labels of the drugs you buy. It's amazing how companies promote a drug as being so good, but the side effects can kill you.

My son has asthma and it is heart wrenching to see him up all night and he can't hardly breathe, he wants to go to sleep but can't because he has to take breathing treatments every two hours all night long when he has a so called asthma attack. And one of the side effects of the medicine is hyper activity. So when ever he has a bad cough or has shortness of breathe, we would give him a breathing treatment, usually before bed time. He is now ready for bed but walking back and forth in my room asking us questions about our day, what he did in school and son and so forth. We are upset because we want him to go to sleep so he can get some rest. But guest what? He can't because of the side effects! When the medicine wears off here comes the attack again and its time for another treatment, and cycle continues until whatever he ate is out of his system.

So my wife and I begin to do some research to see if there was anything we could do other than medicine to help our son with this problem. And what we discovered is amazing yet so very simple. Asthma is inflammation of the lung's airways. Stop the inflammation stop the asthma. The cause of inflammation is a result of what we put in our bodies through food and drugs. Here are some of the causes of inflammation in body: refined and bleached sugar and flour, breads made with bleached flour and sugar, chips, pastas, white rice, pretzels, sodas, ice creams, and artificial colors and preservatives.

Anywhere in the body you have inflammation, you have mucus build up. Mucus is apart of the body's defense system. Mucus is designed to drive out anything in the body that doesn't belong. So where ever you are inflamed, mucus will come and attempt to help. And that's why you have mucus build up in certain areas of the body.

Once we changed his diet we saw a change immediately. These are the foods we as Americans eat on a regular basis as snacks, desserts and quick meals almost daily. But they're harmful to our body and our over all quality of life over the long term if eaten on a regular basis. So if you want to stop the asthma and the systems that comes along with it. stop eating the foods that causes it. Once you stop eating the foods that causes it, you can stop taking the medications that causes the harmful side effects. You think about that, God bless.

Why Worry

In our world today their is allot to be concerned about. Things like terrorism, crime, racism; or how about taxes, inflation and job loss. Truly we have allot we could be worried about. But I've found out that in order to function in life and overcome the obstacles we face, we need to give our cares,worries and frustrations to someone else. Someone stronger than us. We tend to lean and depend on our spouses or family and friends and that's awesome, but this support system can only take us so far and that's it. I've found on my journey that I really need a relationship with someone who's able to handle my worries and concerns that I face in my daily life. And that person is Jesus Christ.

I've found that through my relationship with Jesus I've been able to overcome some problems that would have taken me out of here if I had not have known Him. The bible says in 1st Peter 5:7 that we should cast all of our cares upon God because He cares for us and that includes worrying. When you worry you sin, and when you sin you miss the mark of God. Worrying about things can have a adverse affect on our body and it's ability to function properly. When improper stress enters the body it breaks down the body's immune system and causes us to become sick. Free radical cells come in when the body's immune system is weak, and worrying and stress help weaken your body's defense system.

To combat this we need to change a few things in our lives. First, we need to change our outlook on life. Start seeing the glass as half full instead of half empty. You can always find something positive in a negative situation. Second, fill your mind with good positive and wholesome materials such as: the bible, positive inspirational music, uplifting reading materials like books and magazines and most importantly prayer. Tell God your problems. He will listen and no one else will know about it, and because you pray you will find yourself at ease with what you thought was a problem.

So don't allow life to get you so uptight. Just do the best you can with what you have and give the rest to God through Jesus Christ. And you will find that life isn't that bad when the right person has your back. You think about that, God bless.

Smile, It Just May Save Your Life.

Is life really that bad? Are times really that tough where you can't stop and take the time to enjoy the many wonderful blessings you really have? I know we're living in tough times and your future maybe uncertain, But I do know this! You have so much to rejoice about. If you are able to read this article that means you are alive and kicking, and therefore you have hope for tomorrow. If you have hope that means you still have expectations or a desired outcome.

Still having hope and joy in life are major reasons smile about. You should deliberately and purposely walk around with a smile on your face. Why? Because it's contagious. When you're happy you help someone else become happy, And it all starts with a smile and a friendly hello. And when you enter a room you can change the atmosphere by smiling, laughter, and a positive attitude. People need hope and you can be the one to give it to them.

Smiles and laughter helps your body heal itself by releasing certain chemicals and endorphins. By smiling and laughing you release stress and anxiety out of your life. The bible even says that a merry heart does the body good like medicine. That's amazing! You hold the key to your health and well being lock up inside of you. And you can release it with a smile and a chuckle. It only takes about six muscles to smile, but it takes over two hundred muscles to frown. That's a big difference.

It's time for you to go out and look for the silver lining in every dark cloud. Don't except what the world is telling you, write your own script. Become world changer, help someone else see the light at the end of the tunnel. And while your out changing your destiny and others, remember don't forget to smile. It just may save your life. Can Our Food Be Our Medicine?

In the society we live in today, where things are quick, fast, and in a hurry. Is their a way to combat sickness and disease other than with drugs? Are drugs really the answer to our health crisis in America today? They say we're living longer these days, but what is the quality of life we're living as opposed to the quantity of life?

I believe the food we eat is the most important factor in our health. Even though the big drug companies make medicines that prolong life, their medicines often times create more problems than treat the ones we're fighting. Just read the side effects. They can be just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than the sickness we're fighting at that time.

We can't change the air we breathe, or the working conditions at our respected professions. But we can change what we put in our bodies. I know our lives are allot faster and more bombarded and congested then ever, and we need things quick and fast. Because we need everything so fast, we've succumb to the lure of enticing ads that the media puts before us. And they tell us what we can and can't do and we buy into the hype. And they make millions and we're killing our families with their products because there so quick and easy to prepare.

An apple a day really does keep the doctor away. Not only apples, but carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, peaches, strawberries, bananas, sweet potatoes and so on. These are some of the most wonderful God given delights here to strengthen and fortify our bodies to help us fight off disease. We need to stop and think about what's really important in life, like the health and well being of our families as well as ourselves.
